Ordering closed: holidays, pauses and the cut-off
What it does
Three settings decide when customers can order. Closed dates are days nobody can book. Pause all ordering stops new orders for a while. After the cut-off says what happens to an order that comes in late.
All three are off until you set them. Your customers see a clear notice on their order page, and you can still create an order yourself.

How to do it
Close days or a holiday
- Open Settings → Ordering & delivery → Closed dates.
- Pick a day, or a first and last day for a longer stretch.
- Add a message for customers if you like, then save.
- If orders are already booked for a closed day, press See them to move them.
What a closed day does
Nobody can book it, no routes are planned for it, and standing orders and reminders skip it.
Pause all ordering
- Open Settings → Ordering & delivery → When customers can order.
- Switch on Pause all ordering and write a short message.
- Optionally set Open again on. Ordering opens again by itself that day.
Choose what happens after the cut-off
- Set a cut-off time first in Settings → Ordering & delivery → Delivery days.
- In When customers can order, pick what happens After the cut-off. Accept the order as now, move it to the next delivery day, or stop orders until a time you set.
- Add a message customers see while ordering is stopped.
Orders that came after the cut-off
On Delivery day, a card lists them. Press Keep all for that day, or Decide one by one to keep or move each.
What if…
What if you or your staff create an order while ordering is closed?
The app asks Create anyway? with the reason. Say yes and the order is made.
What if an email or WhatsApp order arrives while paused?
It waits in Needs you with a tag such as Ordering paused. Autopilot never makes it by itself. The WhatsApp assistant tells the customer without promising a day.
What if today is closed but tomorrow is open?
Customers see a quiet notice saying orders placed now are for the next open day.
Common questions
Do customers see my message?
Yes. It shows on their Home and Order pages, and the cart says why they can’t place the order.
Does a pause cancel orders already placed?
No. It only stops new orders. Orders already booked stay as they are.
Do standing orders stop during a pause?
Yes. Standing orders are not placed while ordering is paused. They are not stopped by the after-cut-off choice.
